The Healthy Truth: My secret for pain relief and better digestion

As a trainer teaching various fitness classes, I often suffer from joint aches. By now, you are familiar with my stomach-related troubles, but there is one simple trick I use to combat both joint pain and digestive issues.


My little secret is castor oil, and whenever I feel some pain or bloating I make sure to rub it on quickly.

Castor oil isn’t something new. In fact, it’s been around for centuries. Derived from the castor bean, it is a fairly thick, but clear (sometimes pale yellow), odorless, and tasteless substance. If you do your history check, you’ll find early uses of castor oil dating back to the Egyptians.

I was first introduced to castor oil when I went to visit a naturopath who recommended applying it onto my abdomen prior to bed – this was over a year ago. To this day I don’t go to bed without rubbing castor oil on. Why? Well, because not only do I wake up de-bloated, but I actually feel much better.

The naturopath also suggested that castor oil is effective at reducing inflammation, so I decided to apply it to my aching joints, too. My knees take a serious beating usually, but I have found that after rubbing castor oil I am waking up the next day without pain. I’ve even recommended this remedy to some of my clients, and they return to me ecstatic that their pain has gone away.

Castor oil has many other notable benefits, too, such as treating fungal infections on the skin, working as a laxative, soothing the eyes, improving the appearance of the skin and hair. Consider castor oil an all-in-one miracle product that can be applied just about anywhere!

You don’t need to take my word on castor oil, but considering it is natural I would suggest you give it a try. You can apply castor oil directly onto the skin, and it works as a laxative if ingested.


My naturopath even advised me to apply a hot water bottle to the abdomen after application to have it soak really deep.
