How to Make Your Hands Look Younger

vein handsThe function of veins is to return blood back to the heart to become reoxygenated, allowing it to flow back through the body. But when veins are visible and bulge, they can make you look much older than you really are.

One area of the body that can reveal age is the hands. The more bulging veins your hands show, the older they appear.

There are some treatments that aim to reduce the appearance of bulging hand veins, but these are often temporary and not long-lasting solutions.

There is a new technique that some experts are using that provides a lasting solution and can easily be performed within a clinical setting. In fact, patients can even drive themselves home after the procedure is done.

The procedure is known as RejuvaHands and is performed under local anesthesia.

It involves marking the veins and using specific tools to hook the veins to remove them through tiny holes in the skin. The procedure takes between two to three hours.

Side effects are minimal and mainly include some bruising and swelling, but this depletes after a few days.

Veins in the hands can become more visible due to the skin on the hands becoming thinner and losing its elasticity, making the appearance of veins more prominent. Unlike unsightly veins in the legs, bulging veins in the hands are not diseased.

Aside from aging, there are other factors that can contribute to bulging veins in the hands, such as blood pressure, temperature, and vascular disease.

Other treatments to ease the appearance of veins in the hands include laser vein therapy, sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy, and vein stripping and ligation. The severity of your veins and the cause will determine which treatment to undergo.

The main difference between the list of treatments and RejuvaHands is the level of invasiveness. So, for someone who is squirmish with needles and surgery, RejuvaHands is a good option as there are no stitches, no being put under, and no long recovery process unlike some of the other conventional treatments.

If you’re tired of your hands looking older, speak to your doctor about what treatment option is best for you.
