The One Exercise You Need to Be Doing

Exercise is known to help boost libido, as it supports a healthy heart and circulatory system, which is vital for healthy bedroom performance. Without proper blood circulation, it can be difficult to obtain and hold an erection, maintain arousal, and even climax.

A recent study from the University of California, San Francisco found that women who cycle at high intensity had higher sexual function than women who didn’t cycle. Women who cycle are also less likely to experience sexual dysfunction.

The survey included 3,118 women who either didn’t cycle, partook in low-intensity cycling, or high-intensity cycling.

First author of the study Thomas Gaither explained, “We found that lifetime miles ridden was associated with better sexual function, as measured by a common, validated questionnaire.” But cycling did bring with it some drawbacks. Cyclists had a higher risk of soreness along with a higher risk of urinary tract infections.

“One of the more novel findings of the study is that lifetime miles ridden were directly correlated with saddle sores and urinary tract infections. These findings may be considered by some as minor, however, saddle sores and infections may inhibit sexual activity. If we could find a way to prevent saddle sores and infections, we believe that cycling might improve the sexual health of women,” concluded Gaither.

If cycling isn’t your thing, keep in mind that other types of exercise are still beneficial for improving your bedroom performance because, as mentioned, they help maintain a strong heart.
