A day before, start thinking sexy, think of your turn-on’s and your fantasies. This can get you excited along with creating a longing.

On the day, tie up any loose ends that may be a distraction to you. Complete any outstanding tasks or jobs so that your mind is completely cleared and you aren’t stressing about what you have to do.

Another tip that may help get you in the mood is to do some personal grooming. Start by shaving your legs, getting your hair done, or something else that makes you feel good and sexy.

Lastly, you may want to send your loved one some sexy messages, either through texts, notes around the house, or even a sexy voice mail or phone call to spark their libido too.

12 hours prior

At this point, start eating some libido-boosting foods such as hot peppers. On the other hand, avoid foods that can contribute to bloating, gas, constipation, or even diarrhea—you may want to skip the beans at lunch. You will also want to avoid foods that can linger on your breath, including garlic and onion.

Now onto wardrobe—you want to feel your best and sometimes that can be boosted by looking your best. Pull out all the stops and put on that outfit that makes you feel like a vixen or a fox.

If you’re a woman, you’ll want your undergarments to match the mood, so comfort may be out the window for tonight. Even if you’re a male, save those comfortable ripped boxers for another night.

At this point, work and life priorities should be out of mind—you don’t want these thoughts bringing you down. If this is a challenge for you, some people find it useful to get in a short meditation session prior to the big event to ensure their mind is completely clear. Other helpful tips may include dimming the lights, lighting a scented candle, or listening to some relaxing music.

Although this may seem like a lot of work, it really isn’t once you consider what the end result is. Being sexy isn’t all about the physical appearance, it’s a state of mind, and so preparing yourself for steamy moments can help you get the most out of them.
